Daniel K. Morgan, Newaygo County CPS Investigator

Alyssa and Amber were unjustly removed from our care based on lies and fraud June 25, 2005. I saw these children July 1, 2005, which was the day the children were put in the care of a stranger. Because of the lies and fraud these children were emotionally traumatized and drugged.

The first time we were able to see our granddaughters again was March 12, 2007. Between August and October 2005 we asked to see Alyssa and Amber on at least 3 different occasions and were told NO each time. We took some presents to the school on January 23, 2006 because it was Alyssa's birthday. I asked if I could give them to Alyssa and was told no. I left the gifts with the principal and left. On Valentines Day we made the children a Valentines Card and bought them each a box of candy hearts. I took those into the school and dropped them off. I never asked to see Alyssa I just dropped off the bag and left. Both of these time I got a call from Lacey (CPS). Just before Easter we purchased the children each a basket. My step mother took those to the school and dropped them off for the children. No one got a call from Lacey about that. It seems anyone can give our granddaughters things as long as it isn't us, grandma and grandpa, people these children know and love.

Since the children were abducted from our care we were denied contact with our grand children. On March 8, 2006 while grandma and I were in town, we parked in a private drive just sitting there minding our own business. All we were doing was trying to get a glimpse of Alyssa. We were parked to far away to find Alyssa in the crowd of children. Neither one of us got out of the car. We left and went home.

The following day a police office from Grant stopped by. Evidently he got a call from Dan Morgan, (CPS). The officer asked me if I was at the school taking pictures. I told him I wasn't taking any pictures, we were parked in a private drive just looking around. Then I asked him if that is a crime. He told me if I am around the school again he will arrest me for stalking. Since when is it a crime to park on private property and look around?

August 14, 2006 I filed a freedom of Information Act form to get a copy of the police complaint and report. August 19, 2006 I received a letter in the mail from the police department and my request was denied. The reason stated was the investigation was still on going.  Yea, OK right, it's your story tell it how ever you want. The prosecutors office didn't want me to have a copy, why?

Around June 15, 2007 I went back to the police department and filled out the FOIA paper again. This time while talking to the police officer there I told him if I don't get a copy of the complaint and report I will have my attorney subpoena them. June 19, 2007 I received a copy of those documents.

Isn't it against the law to lie when filing a police complaint. Wait, didn't my daughter get arrested and convicted for doing that? Didn't she get sentenced to 270 days and had to serve 90 of those days? Well this is exactly what Dan Morgan did. He lied to the police when making this police complaint.

Between July 1, 2005 and March 12, 2007 we hadn't seen nor had any contact with our granddaughters.

Here is a copy of the complaint Dan Morgan made.

MORGAN reports that ATWOOD has been going to the Primary Center, and has been taking pictures of KEAST.

ATWOOD, in the past, has also tried to lure KEAST to his car.

ATWOOD has been told at least three times not to have contact with KEAST.

ATWOOD has refused to comply with the orders.

The fact is, I only asked to see Alyssa one time at the school and that was when I took her a birthday gift. How can I take pictures of someone I can't see?

I like this calculated lie the best as said by Dan Morgan.

"ATWOOD, in the past, has also tried to lure KEAST to his car."

According to Ms. Gonzalez-Borstler, The grandparents did not have contact with Alyssa and Amber since they were removed from their care until recently. -Foster Care Review Board March 20, 2007

The fact is, we never had contact with the children then,  so how could I try and lure Alyssa to my car. Dan has this misconception that I would have to lure either of these children to do anything. Our granddaughters know who we are and love us, we are their grandparents!

Do you see how many time he lied in this complaint? Shouldn't this be against the law? Shouldn't his lying statements be a crime in which he should be investigated, charged, convicted and thrown in jail for 90 days just like my daughter?
