Colleen Alvarado, daycare worker

According to Ms. Alvarado, she has been the daycare provider for the children from the beginning of this case and has seen a remarkable improvement in Alyssa and Amber. She stated that they are different children today than from their original placement. When the children were returned to their mother, they regressed tremendously. When Ms. Coppess picks the children up, they run to her. They are bonded and they definitely love Ms. Coppess. Ms. Alvarado further indicated that it is not understandable how the girl's grandparents went the two years without visiting the children and questions how the Court can give them any consideration based on this absence. -  Nicole's Foster Care Review Board hearing page 3

These beautiful young ladies didn't have any problems until Newaygo County CPS abducted these children. CPS then used their lies and fraudulent information they provided in their own documents to justify this. So, when children are abducted and emotionally traumatized by the protectors of children, I'm sure after a time period this would improve. Ever hear of Stockholm Syndrome?

If this person doesn't know all the facts then maybe she should just keep quiet?

Let's set the record straight about our attempts to see our granddaughters. As early as August 5, 2005 we tried to get visitations. We were told no, the children have behavioral issues that are being addressed. They didn't have these issues when in our care. Lacey Gonzales was contacted 2 more time the next month or so in an attempt to get visitations. Both time I was told no, "Grandparent have no rights". The second time I was told this I argued with Lacey because I did some research and our legislators passed a law that addressed just this. My argument was in vain. January 23, 2006 I took a birthday present to the school for Alyssa, I asked if I could give it to her. That request was denied. What happened next? Lacey calls me up and tells me we can't try to see the children at school. It's not like we never tried to get visitations or try to see our granddaughters. So for this person here to make that statement all I can say is, if you don't know all the facts...then maybe you should...
